Beyoncé launched a new single and video to help relief efforts following the recent natural disasters that hit Mexico and the Caribbean, Reuters reports.

“Mi Gente,” a remix of Latin success by J. Balvin and Willy William, is the singer’s first material since giving birth to her twins in June.

“I will donate this song to charities from Puerto Rico, Mexico and other Caribbean islands affected by hurricanes,” Beyoncé said in her Instagram account Thursday at the last minute.

“We are very sorry for the hurricanes and earthquakes that have devastated families around the world. There are many ways to help, “he added in a message on his official website, where he referred his followers to various disaster relief organizations.

Hurricane Maria, the most powerful storm in Puerto Rico in nearly 90 years, killed at least 16 people on the island and more than 30 in the Caribbean. In Puerto Rico, most of the 3.4 million people have been without electricity for 10 days and many complained of the slowness of US aid efforts.

“Mi Gente”, the Spanish song released in June, has been number one in much of South America and in many European countries and has 893 million views on YouTube. The Beyoncé remix, which includes home videos of dancing people, would boost sales and by Friday had already been seen more than 1.8 million times.

Beyoncé also supported relief efforts in her hometown of Houston, Texas, with a message taped to a charity telethon in weeks ago that raised more than $ 44 million for victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

The annual benefit concert organized by her husband, rap singer Jay-Z, in October, will also raise funds for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, as well as the September 19 earthquake that hit Mexico.
