‘Fast & Furious 9’: Universal delays the release of the new Vin Diesel film until 2020

Fast & Furious 9, Universal Pictures

The release of ‘Fast & Furious 9’ was scheduled for the first of 2019, but the studio has decided to change the date ‘Trolls 2’ to put in its place this ninth story.

The Fast & Furious saga is one of the most profitable for Universal Pictures, each film gets a better box office result than its predecessor – though the eighth installment was a little below the seventh, the highest grossing to date.

Now all fans of the genre and Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne Johnson, are looking forward to the new delivery but will have to wait a little longer than expected.

This Wednesday, as The Wrap, collects, Universal Pictures has decided to delay the film’s release until 2020.

In other words, in the spring of 2019, Fast & Furious 9 will premiere on April 10, 2020 – in the United States -. This new gap now occupied was previously prepared for Trolls 2, but with the arrival of the fastest movie cars, the animated film will premiere a couple of months ahead of schedule, on February 14, 2020.

The company has denied making statements about the reasons that have led to this change, a surprise move given that it is its most successful economic saga.

The reasons that begin to shuffle is the bad relation between some of its protagonists.

During the filming of Fast & Furious 8 sparks jumped between Johnson and Diesel, something that together with Gibson was in charge of feeding on social networks.

After the overwhelming success of the eighth tape began rumors that Universal could be preparing a spin-off with the character of Johnson as a protagonist, something that motivated the actor a lot but has generated more discomfort among his colleagues who are considered a family.

Recently, Gibson used his Instagram account to send a message to Johnson.

In this publication, he said that after trying to talk to him on the phone and by any other means available to them, and not having been able to do so, he chose to make public his discomfort.

The actor explained that he and Diesel, as well as the other members of Fast & Furious 9, were more than willing to start production of the film, but it was La Roca that rejected everything by lengthening a process that should have already begun.

In this letter, Gibson made it clear that they are all a family and that he wanted to be able to talk quietly with him and solve the problems between them so that they could get together and make the expected tape.

Johnson has not given a public response to this message, and Universal’s movement suggests that perhaps it has done so in private and this has not liked colleagues or the study itself, so the delay is because they need more time to prepare the tape without it or with it. What do you think?
