At last! 20th Century Fox has officially announced the start of production of the four sequels of ‘Avatar’ that will be filming James Cameron. The new release dates have also been announced: ‘Avatar 2’ will arrive on December 18, 2020, ‘Avatar 3’ on December 17, 2021, ‘Avatar 4’ on December 20, 2024, and ‘Avatar 5’ on December 19, 2025.
With this news is confirmed what seemed inevitable, that ‘Avatar 2’, scheduled for Christmas 2018, would be delayed once again. On many occasions the date of the first sequel has been postponed but presumably now that the production has finally started, this new plan is already the definitive one. When we return to the world of Pandora 11 years have passed since the release of the original movie, still the highest grossing in history ($ 2.787).
Translate: ” it is fantastic to work with the best team in the sector!” avatar starts his take off with the simultaneous production of the next 4 deliveries. The journey will continue on the next dates: 18 December 2020, 17 December 2021, 20 December 2024 and 19 December 2025.
James Cameron has said that each of the four sequels will work independently but together, the five movies in the series tell a complete story. Recall that the director has supervised the scripts written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno and that in the cast they return to be Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang.
Cameron will also continue to be involved as a producer in the adaptation of ‘Alita: Battle Angel’, which after a while wanting to direct it was given to Robert Rodriguez, and a new installment of ‘Terminator’ that goes to make Tim Miller (‘Deadpool’).
