Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger will return in the sequel “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”

After several extremely unsuccessful attempts to continue or restart the once popular “Terminator” franchise, there are very few people who believe in the success of this venture. The directors, scriptwriters, producers were replaced, but none of them managed to outdo the first two films, which were shot by James Cameron in 1984 and 1991. Fortunately, the rights to the franchise have returned to Cameron’s hands many years later, so he plans to remove the direct sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day, closing his eyes to everything that was created without his participation.

Actress Linda Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor in the first two scenes, will return to the big screen in the image of her character. Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear on the screen together with her, who, according to one of the theories, will be just an ordinary person who will serve as a prototype for the creation of a murder machine in the future. It is possible that Arnold will have to rejuvenate with the help of computer technology, the benefit of such an opportunity Hollywood artists already have.

Unfortunately, James Cameron is currently focused on filming just four new films of the Avatar series, but he will closely monitor the filming process, entrusted to the director of the film Deadpool, Tim Miller. Miller, among other things, is the founder and owner of the studio for the production of special effects Blur Studio, which develops CGI-videos for a lot of film studios and video game developers. It may very well be that the new film will be outstanding in terms of advanced computer graphics.

James Cameron is writing a screenplay for the new film, along with screenwriters David Goyer (“The Dark Knight”), Charles Igle (The Dark Angel) and Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles). History will not only bring back characters familiar to us but also introduce several new, young heroes. At the moment, Cameron is looking for a talented 18-year-old actress for one of the key roles in the new film. According to the creator of the franchise, in his new film, people from the past will come across people from the future.

While the upcoming film has no official name, not even a very approximate date for entering the big screens. But one thing can be sure: if Cameron himself took up the job, then the new film will be much more interesting than “Terminator: Let the savior come” or “Terminator: Genesis.”
